Dr Johan Venter completed his medical degree at the University of the Orange Free State. After qualifying he joined the Trauma Unit at Netcare Unitas Hospital in Centurion as a full time Trauma doctor for 4 years. During this time he was a flight doctor for Netcare - completing multiple local and international aeromedical transfers on the fixed wing and HEMS (Helicopter) service.
During this time he also completed a Diploma in Primary Emergency Care - DipPEC (SA).
Post-grad studies were completed at the University of Pretoria with the following degrees:

Dr Venter has a special interest in Robotic and Laparoscopic surgery. He has a passion for prostate cancer and believes that every patient diagnosed with prostate cancer is different and treatment should be adjusted accordingly.
