URODYNAMICS.
Urodynamic testing is a medical procedure that evaluates how well the bladder, sphincters and urethra are storing and releasing urine. It can also show whether the bladder is having involuntary contractions that causes leakage (incontinence) of urine. A healthcare provider might suggest urodynamic studies to evaluate the function of the lower urinary tract in an effort to make a diagnosis and correctly treat the condition.
These tests might be required or requested in some of the following conditions:
- Incontinence (urinary leakage)
- Frequent urination
- Painful urination
- Sudden strong urge to urinate
- Problems in initiating urination
- Problems in emptying your bladder completely
- Recurrent urinary tract infections
Preparation for the study
- You should have a referral letter from your healthcare provider.
- Booking is essential. These studies are only performed on an appointment basis. Please contact us to book an appointment.
- You should arrive with a full bladder.
